Monroe Township, NJ.-Peter Jacobsen, who will serve as one of the featured celebrities in the upcoming Forsgate Foundation Charity Golf Classic, captured the U.S. Senior Open title on Sunday at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis. Jacobsen, who has won seven times on the PGA Tour, captured his first major championship with this victory. The Forsgate Foundation Charity Golf Classic will take place October 3-4, 2004 at the historic and award-winning Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, New Jersey.
At the upcoming Charity Golf Classic, golf fans throughout the tri-state area are invited to watch Jacobsen and fellow Champions Tour legend Chi Chi Rodriguez as they host a entertaining Exhibition Clinic and compete in a nine-hole Skins Game-all to raise valuable dollars for Special Olympics New Jersey. For over three decades, Special Olympics has been dedicated to helping children and adults with developmental disabilities connect with opportunity and achievement.
In addition to the Exhibition Clinic and Skins Game, The Forsgate Foundation Charity Golf Classic will feature a VIP reception and silent/live auction featuring unique sports memorabilia, and an 18-hole golf tournament on Forsgate Country Club's renowned Banks Course, recently named the #2 golf course in the state by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
The cost to participate in the Charity Golf Classic is $875 per person, which includes one playing position in the tournament; an invitation to the live and silent auction, and awards reception; a special gift package; and VIP parking. A portion of the fee is tax deductible and the field of player participants is limited to 120 players.
Additional opportunities for involvement include purchasing a Patron Participant package for $45 that allows individuals access to the live and silent auction, Exhibition Clinic and Skins Game. In addition, Gallery Participant tickets are $15 and available for those fans who are interested in attending all the day's events on October 4th featuring Jacobsen and Rodriguez.
